We are looking for someone who is fun and inspiring to work with and who would like to be a part of our vision. As a "VP - Technical Sales" you will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team focused on our suite of cloud-based products. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to understand customer needs, effectively communicate the technical value of our solutions, and guide the team to close deals that drive significant business growth. Your leadership will be key in enabling our sales team to address tech challenges, while ensuring that customer success and satisfaction are at the heart of every engagement.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on role requiring a mix of technical expertise and a proven track record in cloud product sales.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Drive sales strategy and align team efforts with company goals. Develop team members to maximize their sales potential and product knowledge.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team, ensuring they can articulate the value of complex cloud products. Assist in product demos, solution architecture discussions, and technical proof-of-concept stages during sales cycles.
  • Influencing the development of technical products and services based on market needs and sales feedback, ensuring they are aligned with customer demands.
  • Manage and monitor the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, regularly assess performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs and competitive products. Use insights to fine-tune sales strategies and drive differentiation in the marketplace.
  • Working closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and finance, to ensure alignment and achieve company goals.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of frameworks, platforms and CMS systems eg. Angular Js, Android SDK, iOS SDK, REST API, Agile, SQL technologies, Django, Python etc.
  • Experience of working in start-ups and product-based companies would be preferred.
 
Your Skills and Experience::
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field. (MBA in I.T, Marketing, Sales will be preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a technical sale (cloud technology or SaaS space).
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong technical background with experience in product-based solutions cloud technologies, APIs and integrations.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a technical product environment.
  • Assist the sales team through complex sales cycles, from discovery through negotiation and closing.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performance teams.
  • Passionate about solving customer problems and delivering value.
  • Ability to understand and address customer pain points using cloud technology solutions.
  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, etc.) would be preferred.
